Summer & Its Happenings

Well I can hardly believe it, but I'm back!  I'm so dreadfully sorry for not posting in such a long time, but I haven't had much opportunity to shoot.  It seems the beginning of the spring and summer are the most exciting times for all the flowers and beautiful creatures.  I'm thrilled with all the new ideas of pictures that could be pursued in my spare time.  But sadly as the spring rolls into summer things aren't as exciting anymore.  I don't want to be one of those people who post the same pictures with the same caption.  However, (no that 'however' doesn't mean I'm going to do it anyway) I have been able to "get out" a little more to different events, and I'm sure you're going to like the pictures I have for you.  Let's get started!
First off, I want to show you some pictures I took at Cade's Cove when we went on a family trip.
And the journey begins!

I believe this picture explains itself just fine.

Goob.

I would like to apologize in advance if this blog post is longer than normal, but I have to get you caught up!
Next is my big bro's graduation.  Yay!  We went out for a photoshoot in our backyard, although he was rather (rather meaning much so) hesitant to take any pics.

Seeing as how Jacob wouldn't smile, Dad thought an egg might make him happy.

The big day!
And now, last but not least, me and my sister did a spur-of-the-moment photoshoot one evening.  Isn't she stunning?

I hope you've enjoyed the pictures I've shown you today!  Also, be on the look out for another blog post sometime soon.  It may or may not include a wedding!

Highlight of the post:
I mean c'mon, how could I NOT put this picture?!

More Spring Filled Wonder

Since my last post was all about flowers, I thought I'd do one on all the other springy pictures I've gotten.

This little guy I found at a dog park in Knoxville.  The dog park is called PetSafe and it's very nice.  It has a huge pond with a fountain and a very large area for them to explore.  There are always plenty of dogs to see as well.  The turtle in questioin was simply sitting there on the branch sunning I guess.  I tried to sneak behind a tree before he plopped away, and I got it!

The next few pictures is a spring photoshoot I did around my house.  It felt wonderful outside....almost like a tree climbing sort of day.

I don't honestly even know what this is, but I was climbing a tree and saw it.  I thought it looked pretty cool, so I snapped a pic.

This little honey bee let me get just close enough to it to snap a picture.  I then zoomed up on the actual picture, and look how clear it still is!

Next, I was at a church small group we go to, taking care of kids.  The family who hosts it has a large amount of property, and seeing as how they have a trampoline, and because it felt so good outside, we took the kids out.

In case you're wondering, I love volleyball and actually play for a school nearby.

I'm sad to say that this spring post will have to come to a close.  But of course, I can't end without a highlight.  I took this picture when I climbed the tree earlier.  I didn't post it above, because I thought I would save the best for last:

Fantastic Flowers

Spring.  What a lovely word!  I try to contain my excitement when a draft of wind filled with a sweet flowery aroma brushes past me, causing chills up and down my spine.  That feeling you get when you think to yourself, "Spring is finally here!"  When the grass regains its vibrant green, when the air is just warm enough to throw frisbee, toss football, and go barefoot, when the earth gains one more baby thing weather it be animal, human, insect or plant.  (The insect part is especially bothersome to me, however, seeing as how I severely don't like wasps, bees, and hornets oh my!)  This is the time when flowers bloom.

Forgive the dramatic entrance, but I thought I should make it up to you for not writing.  You see, I've been awfully busy.  Jonathan and Virginia moved to D.C. on the 4th of March and of course that took some getting use to.  And then of there has been school.  Anyhow I'm sure you're tired of hearing my excuses, so let's get on with things!

The first picture I took of the "Springyness" was this beautiful little....weed?

We have hundreds and maybe even thousands of these in our yard.  They seem to never go away, and always spring up!  These next two I'm pretty excited about.  I've seen many pictures all over the place of close-up flowers like this, and when I saw it near our chicken fence, I thought, "Oh man!  I wish I had my camera with me."  But of course the next day when I went on one of my little nature photo shoots, I saw it and remembered!

Proudly petite.  That's how I like to think of these cute little flowers.  They may look small, but they're definitely gorgeous in their own way.  What an amazing God we serve!  He even thought of the little guys, and how to make them spectacular!

My next Fantastic Flower, is another weed that inhabits our yard.  Its green and purple hues makes it a perfect flower for bumble bees to feast on, making it a beautiful bee bliss, but also a tormentingly, treacherous situation for your feet.  (Which are obviously bare! ;))

Now that I've earned your approval in my flower picturing, I'm going to cheat a little.  This may not be a flower, but I thought that they were beautiful all the same.

My next flowers were (oddly enough) found at the Sonic next to a Costo in Knoxville.  As soon as I saw them, (knowing I had my camera with me) I told Mom right away, "As soon as we order I want to go take pictures of those!"  So, like I said.....

I'm sure that as spring roles around, you've been seeing Red Bud trees budding everywhere!  Maybe  not, but I sure have!

This past year, my Mom and Dad planted two rose of daffodils along our driveway, and they finally started blooming this past month!  I was able to snap some pictures before it started raining.  I love tulips!  I think that the sun came down from space and gave it a big kiss on the petals.  Ever since, it simply sings with radiance and.....SPRING!

My last section of beauty is a lovely yellow bush in the corner of our yard.  I don't need to say much for you to see what a pretty plant it is.

Thanks for joining me once again in my photographic adventures!  I'm sure you'll be seeing another post soon of more "springyness"!

And last, but not least, my highlight of this post:
